Application Analyst (M/F) – Porto


Claire Joster is currently recruiting for a reference client in the Financial Services area, which intends to strengthen its internal structure with the integration of a Application Analyst (M/F).



The main goal is to have efficiently working applications that support the business process in a maximum and controlled way by clear process descriptions, analyses, work instructions and proposals to improve processes.

Inventory and analyze client needs for information and information systems and prepare a functional design, within the needs of the client and the frameworks of the Information Architecture, in the form of applications and application components, optimized to the needs of the client.

• Monitor the processes and the availability of the Applications, perform and maintain configurations, as well as take the initiative for adjustments where appropriate, in line with service agreements and coordinated with the key user or system owner;

• Responsible for keeping all managed systems, interfaces and application specific settings running optimally, and in consultation with information analyst, developers and infrastructure analyze whether there are change opportunities and capacity within the application;

• Handling of Incidents, service requests, user questions, monitoring and calamitous handling;

• Effective new versions or functional changes of applications that meet the needs of the business;

• Ensure the translation of a user requirement into a functional change within the application and Implement standard change requests;

• Work with various internal (Development, technical Application Management, Infrastructure and the business) and external vendors to in order to resolve failure or apply improvement to the applications;

• Implement, describe and transfer applications or functions to the business and provide technical input on customer service projects and application selections;

• Provide documentation of functional application changes and inform the user about the change in the use of the application in accordance with the applicable documentation format, in order to be able to consult implemented changes and to make the implementation of the software on the users as good and efficient as possible;

• Identify and analyze customer needs by analyzing the incidents and structural problems in the application(s).


• Bachelor or master’s degree in Business processes, informatics, business informatics, computer science or comparable education with several years of professional experience.

• Experience in working in an international team/ project team.

• Experience in working in an Agile team.

• Strong analytical and conceptual skills.

• High degree of initiative, responsibility and assertiveness.

• Confident appearance, ability to work in a team, as well as very high communicative and intercultural competence.

• Business fluent in written and spoken English. Other foreign languages are of advantage.

• Profound knowledge of MS Office.

• Profound knowledge of creating complex calculations in tools like Excel, MS Access.

• Experience in the automotive sector is an advantage.

• Knowledge in the following areas are of advantage: Dealer financing, retail (financing,

leasing) or fleet / CRM is an advantage.
